| Technique Classes: These classes are designed to teach the technique ONLY. No specific project will be made. |
| Basic Knitting - 2 hour Class Covers casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. Fee: $35 includes 1 skein of worsted weight cotton yarn and a set of size 8 bamboo needles. Basic Crochet - 2 hour Class Covers chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet. Fee: $35 includes 1 skein of worsted weight cotton yarn and 1 bamboo hook. Magic Loop Knitting - 1 Hour Class Using a long, circular needle for knitting small tubes, instead of double pointed needles. This technique is very useful for knitting socks, hats, sleeves, and baby clothing. Covers casting on and joining for knitting in the round, using the magic loop technique. Fee: $20 Other Supplies Needed: 1 skein yarn, 32" circular needle in a size appropriate for the yarn. MOBIUS CAST ON: Learn to cast on and knit a cowl with a twist in it. Fun, interesting and different! Fee: $15 Other supplies needed: Yarn and needles for your cowl and one ring marker. INTARSIA OR FAIR ISLE KNITTING: Learn the art of color work knitting. 1-2hr class. Using multiple colored yarns to paint a picture or design with your knitting. Fee: $30 |

| PROJECT BASED CLASSES These classes involve a specific pattern for everyone to knit or crochet. Instructions will be given for specific skills needed to complete the project. |
Cable Knitting - 2 hour class
Skills taught - Knitting basic cables
Your finished product will be the cabled scarf seen here:
Scarf pattern is provided at no extra cost.

Other supplies needed: 1-2 skeins of bulky weight yarn suggested yarn
1 pair size 13 knitting needles
1 cable needle
Lace Bookmark - 1 hour class
Skills taught - Basic lace knitting
Pattern and yarn provided at no extra cost.
Fee: $15
Other supplies needed: 1 pair size 3 needles
Basic Triangle Shawl Knitting - 1-2 hour class
Skills taught - Triangle shawl knitting, increasing, blocking.
Shawl pattern is included. (Shawl pictured is not the pattern being used.)
Fee: $25
Other supplies needed: Approximately 500 yds chunky weight yarn.
US10 32" Circular needles 2 markers.
Toe-up Socks Using The Magic Loop Method - 1 hour initial class followed by a 2 hr class. Must
have taken the Magic Loop class, or have experience knitting in the round Magic Loop style.
Skills taught - "Magic" cast on, Strong method of knitting heels (no flap, no picking up stitches).
Fee: $30
Supplies needed: Sock yarn, 40" circular needle, Size 1 or 2 (depending on whether you knit
tight or loose).
Top Down Socks with Heel Flap - 2 2-hour classes
Learn the traditional method of knitting socks with a special heel flap that makes picking up
stitches a breeze!
Supplies needed: You must have the top (leg part) of your sock knitted up before the class starts.
Two at a Time Socks - 2 2-hour classes
Learn to knit both socks at the same time on the same needle! Much have previous experience
magic loop knitting and sock knitting.
Fee: $35
Multi-Directional Knitting Scarf - 2 hour class. Great Christmas gift!
Skills taught - Multi-Directional knitting (changing directions without
binding off and picking up stitches)
Supplies needed: Approximately 200 yds of yarn to make a 4’ scarf, 300 yds to make a 6’ scarf
Knitting needles in the recommended needle size.
Fee: $20

Skills taught - Crocheting a hanging top onto a kitchen towel.
Supplies needed: One kitchen towel, cut in half with raw edges hemmed. (cut across the middle,
not lengthwise) Size H crochet hook. Worsted weight machine washable and dryable yarn.

Baby Surprise Jacket - Weekly one-hour classes
Elizabeth Zimmerman's fun and definitely different baby sweater. Learn to work mitered corners.
Fee: $10 per week
Child's Raglan Sleeve Sweater - Weekly one-hour classes
Learn to knit a top-down, raglan sleeve, pullover sweater. Skills learned can be applied to knitting
sweaters of all sizes, from infant to adult.
Fee: $30 Does not include pattern or supplies.
